Numbers Prove NFL Super Bowl Ain’t a Bigger Deal Than WWE’s WrestleMania

WWE just had their biggest Premium Live Event of the year this month. Here, we are talking about WrestleMania 38.

“The Most Stupendous Two-Night Event In WrestleMania History” did not disappoint the fans at all. Another major event that took place this year was the NFL Super Bowl, LVI.

The Super Bowl LVI game took place in February 2022 and attracted a lot of interest from several individuals.

However, if the numbers are to be believed, then WrestleMania 38 had surpassed NFL Super Bowl LVI in certain cases.

WWE exclusively released the details of WrestleMania 38’s social media presence to ComicBook.

According to Conviva, this year’s WrestleMania got the better of Super Bowl LVI in Impressions, Video View, Video Watch Time, and Engagements.

WrestleMania 38 had 2.2 Billion Impressions whereas Super Bowl LVI had 1.8 Billion Impressions. In terms of Video Views, WrestleMania 38 got 1.1 Billion Video Views whereas Super Bowl LVI had 618 Million Video Views.

Now coming to the Video Watch Time. WrestleMania 38 recorded 13.1 Million hours as compared to Super Bowl LVI’s 3.56 Million hours.

Also, WrestleMania 38 had 87 Million engagements whereas Super Bowl LVI had 78 Million engagements.

The above numbers indeed prove that this year’s WrestleMania was a huge success for WWE. And the reason behind this was all the outstanding matches and the grand surprises that made the fans go absolutely berserk.

WWE had several surprises for the WWE Universe

Well, there were several moments that kept the fans at the edge of their seats over the two nights. From successful title defenses to new Champions to shocking in-ring returns, WrestleMania 38 had it all.

Two major highlights from Night One of WrestleMania 38 were the grand WWE returns of Cody Rhodes and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Cody returned to WWE after almost six years and looks ready for the challenges ahead.

Speaking of Austin, the Texas Rattlesnake shocked everyone by competing in a match for the first time since WrestleMania XIX after Kevin Owens challenged him to a fight.

On Night Two of WrestleMania 38, fans got to see something that made them nostalgic. The WWE chairman Vince McMahon himself competed in a match against Pat McAfee.

But that was not all. After Vince’s win over McAfee, Steve Austin came out and hit Mr. McMahon with the Stunner. Fans once again got to see Vince and Stone Cold Steve Austin face to face inside the ring.
