Triple H Gives Massive Update on Keith Lee’s Future

Keith Lee lost his NXT Championship just 52 days after his historic win and the WWE Universe is having none of it. As explained in our report earlier, fans took to Twitter to express their frustration with this title change. However, NXT’s head honcho Triple H believes that all the hullabaloo is because of a short sighted approach.
Triple H explained the psyche behind this decision on a media call held after the Takeover event. As per ‘The Game’, this should be seen as a minor event in a long storyline.
Triple H tells @AlistairMcG that "Keith Lee is a certified star" and him having a short reign is part of a storyline. He says some fans react to the moment and he gets that, but people will understand over time.

Triple H indicates that Keith Lee might have bigger and better things in his future
WWE can proceed one of two ways with Keith Lee. They might keep him on NXT and build a long term story between him and Karrion Kross. Lee is too legitimate a competitor to go out of NXT after a clean loss.
To truly honor his legacy, Triple H and Shawn Michaels might be thinking of creating one of the best storylines in NXT history. That’s the only route that can make this decision seem less outrageous.

The second route is the one that seems more likely. Keith Lee might be heading to the WWE main roster. Both Raw and SmackDown can immensely benefit from having a versatile talent like him. In addition, Lee has the physique that might get him over with Vince McMahon. Let’s just hope that McMahon doesn’t treat him like a monster heel and understands the uniqueness of his character.

There’s also a chance that Triple H might just be making these statements to calm the storm. It’s completely possible that WWE took this decision to create shock value and doesn’t have a concrete plan as of yet.
Despite everything, there’s one thing that I can bet on. Lee has a good future in the WWE. The man is way too talented and the management trusts him inspite of what transpired at NXT Takeover: XXX.

We shouldn’t forget that Lee was made the first double champion in NXT history. That happens only when you are seen as the next big thing. However, if you feel otherwise, feel free to voice your opinions in the comments section.
