Rhea Ripley and Mercedes Martinez engaged in can only be called a brutal match. There were several instances where the viewer could see the violent nature of their bout play out.

First, let’s focus on when Robert Stone was left dangling from the steel cage. While Ripley was beating up Martinez with a kendo stick, Robert Stone tried to climb the cage and stick his nose to where it didn’t belong.

Rhea Ripley did not take to this kindly. As a result, Stone got attacked with the stick and head-bumped. While Ripley was trying to perform another brutal move, Mercedes Martinez came to his rescue. In this, Ripley took the kendo stick impacts straight to the spine.

While the two of them continued to battle, Robert Stone just continued to dangle atop the steel cage.

On the other hand, there came a point when Rhea Ripley jumped off the rope with Mercedes in her arms. Sounds normal, right? But it wasn’t. She landed Mercedes Martinez straight on a table, smashing it into two pieces.

Upon a closer look, the impact of the crash and the resulting pain is visible on Martinez’s face.

This NXT match clarified that both Superstars were ready for war. Considering that NXT presents steel cage matches as the dangerous ones, this one lives up to its name.

When Martinez arrived at the cage, she had a kendo stick, chairs, and even a table with her. However, even before she could make it inside, the door came slamming on her face as Ripley rushed at her.

This was definitely one of the better cage matches that the WWE universe witnessed during recent times. The name – “Battle of the Badasses” – is appropriate for this faceoff Neither of the Superstars looked for an escape. On top of that, the cage felt small compared to their large personalities!
