“Paul’s Just A Human Being”-Eric Bischoff Reacts To WWE Firing Paul Heyman
Former WWE SmackDown Executive Director Eric Bischoff expressed his reaction to Paul Heyman being fired from his position in RAW earlier this week.
Paul Heyman was, like Bischoff, an Executive Director, but for RAW. His firing came as a surprise to many fans that thought Heyman was doing a good job.
Eric Bischoff was shocked at first but then opened up about the entire thing. Recalling his own experience with Heyman, Bischoff says that Heyman is “quirky as shit”.

“He’s got his own thing, you know. Most really creative, highly aggressive people do,” says Bischoff. He is trying to tell us that Paul Heyman was his own man, and liked getting things down in his own creative way.
“Paul was a handful,” says Bischoff, “but in a fun and positive way for me, not in a negative or challenging way, but in a way that kind of made you better because he made you think.”
Biscoff explains how Heyman was far from obstructive. His creative thoughts and ideas made you really consider the next move. His flow of thought made your own better.
“Paul Heyman has connected to the audience in a way that kind of transcends some of the normal things that a lot of other people have to deal with,” says Bischoff.
Paul Heyman has certainly made it big, becoming a huge character in the WWE Universe. His client Brock Lesnar and him have stormed many a foe and made it out with the gold. “He’s an icon to many, many people,” adds Bischoff.
Calling the reason for Paul Heyman’s sudden firing, Bischoff comment on what could possibly have gone wrong for him. “In the eyes of many wrestling fans, Paul can do no wrong. And that’s not true, Paul can do wrong, just like we all can,” says Bischoff.
Paul Heyman has not been keeping things in order
Paul Heyman has been seen as a smooth operator. However, there have been a lot of reports that the backstage scenes on RAW shows are chaotic and messy.
Heyman can’t seem to control the smooth functioning of the show, and Vince McMahon noticed this. RAW has suffered a serious drop in ratings and McMahon has to answer for it.

Frustrated by the way RAW has been functioning and performing, McMahon decided to make a lot of changes in the show. Paul Heyman unfortunately, was one of those changes.
“Paul’s just a human being. He’s a very creative talented human being, but he still a human being that has flaws-,” says Bischoff, “-but Paul is on such a pedestal that I think people tend to give him a little more credit than they should for some things.”

Maybe Bischoff is right. What we see on TV may not be what really goes on backstage. By the looks of it, Heyman has made a mess of it.
Eric Bischoff says that he will congratulate the new Executive Director Bruce Pritchard soon, and thinks he will do a great job.
He concludes with advice to Heyman. “This too shall pass. It’ll pass quickly, and there will be another opportunity tomorrow. So just lay low.”

Bischoff knows the position Heyman is in now and has been fairly reasonable in his argument. We’ll have to wait and see what the future holds for Heyman.
