However, news broke out that WWE was not happy with her for making her illness public. The company knew that anyone getting infected can be detrimental to their plans of continuing TV tapings. As expected, Renee’s announcement was picked up by many news outlets and the WWE was questioned over unsafe work environment.

It was also reported that WWE did not contact her for a long time after her diagnosis. Needless to say, there was some trouble in paradise.

2. Renee was unhappy with cancelation of WWE Backstage

While this can’t directly be attributed to the WWE as Backstage was a Fox Sports show, it was certainly a big setback for Renee. As she had herself expressed on more than one occasion, Backstage was really special to her.

Why wouldn’t it be? It was the first time she was being tasked with helming a show on her own. In addition, the show featured the return of CM Punk, leading to a lot of eyeballs.

However, it was reported that Fox wasn’t happy with the low ratings and decided to scale down on production. Renee even expressed her frustration on Twitter. There’s a possibility that this development might have soured her towards all things WWE.

3. Renee Young has decided to move on from wrestling

Renee’s fans will know that she is a multi-talented person. Before coming to the WWE, she was an improve artist and wanted to try her hand at professional comedy. If you notice her cheeky, self-deprecating humor on television, you know that she has a flair for the art. There’s a possibility that she wants to revisit this passion.

Another non-WWE venture that she was interested in was her cookbook. She hyped up its launch on social media and revealed that the book had over 70 recipes. Considering the overwhelmingly positive response she got, Renee might have had a change of heart over her career goals.

There’s one final non-wrestling possibility that cannot be denied. Renee is a terrific broadcaster and her oratory skills aren’t restricted to professional wrestling. Her charming personality and amicable nature will be a good fit for any sports broadcast.

In fact, reports had stated that ESPN was interested in bringing her on-board. Jonathan Coachman has made that switch in the past and there’s no reason why Renee won’t.
