Probably the only eventful thing that happened on Monday Night Raw that aired a few hours ago was the appearance of Retribution to deliver a chilling message.

The masked group has made it a point to appear on every single episode of WWE for the past 4-5 weeks, and have been trashing the sets and leaving destruction in their wake.

They left us with a creepy distorted voice message, in which they made their cruel intentions clear. They prophesied what was to come, and also gave a bit of depth to the straight black outfits that they wear.

Some smart fans have managed to remove the filter and pitch down the voices to reveal what the speakers originally sounded like. NXT fans found them extremely familiar.

On hearing the audio, it’s clear that Superstars Dominik Dijakovic and Mercedes Martinez are behind the masks.

These two have been widely linked with Retribution for weeks, although fans could not go further than speculation. This may be as close as we can get to revealing the identities of the members.

Fans have done a good job identifying Retribution members

Over the course of the weeks, fans have been finding clues very meticulously. Observing the finest of details, fans have managed to pick out very viable suspects.

Vanessa Bourne, Chelsea Green, Mickie James, Kalisto, Ember Moon are among the other prominent names to be linked to Retribution.

Fans widely believed that WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns was the leader of this coup. Sadly, that was disregarded when the faction turned their focus solely to Raw.

Although Retribution does manage to make its mark, fans have been observing a lot of plot holes in their gimmick. Their failure to show up at Payback got a lot of fans talking. Some even joked that their leader gave them the weekend off.

Fans are also getting bored with their “wreck the area and leave” attitude which is getting old and overused now. WWE needs to get to the unmasking, and there better be something really good under those masks, or else it would not have been worth the wait.
