Few fans disagree that WWE has been unfair in its dealings with Lana. In fact, three episodes of Monday Night Raw revolved around her getting beat at the hands of Nia Jax.

Each of the three episodes showcased Nia Jax putting Lana through the commentators’ table. As per a sizeable chunk of the WWE Universe, she did not deserve this treatment. Moreover, many feel that Vince McMahon is putting Lana through this difficult phase to take revenge for Rusev (Miro) joining AEW.

Nevertheless, the entire storyline where she constantly remains at the receiving end of Jax’s wrath did not sit well with the audience, and WWE received considerable backlash soon afterwards.

Surprisingly, on the last episode of Monday Night Raw, Lana fought in a multi-woman number one contender Battle Royal match and emerged as the victor. This victory meant that she became the number one contender against Asuka for the Raw Women’s Championship title.

The Superstar revealed what she did to motivate herself despite WWE’s behaviour towards her.

“I kept on telling myself, okay, if I keep on working hard, if I keep on getting back up, if I keep on showing up to training after Nia’s put me through the table, if I keep on training hard, one day I am going to get lucky. Tonight I got lucky. Next week when I face Asuka, I am going to get lucky. I am going to become Raw Women’s Champion.”

Lana is the reason for WWE’s rising viewership

WWE will need to take the tyranny towards Lana down a notch. This is primarily because of the audience and the viewership she is reeling in. On the last episode of Raw, the viewership jumped from 1.6 million to 1.8 million.

As per statistics, it was Lana’s presence all over the show which resulted to this. She appeared during the interview round with The Miz and fought two matches.

The last episode was the first time in weeks where she managed a win. Needless to say, the company should strongly consider keeping her on the front lines. Lana’s on-screen presence and the viewership number are directly proportional.
