Randy Orton Reveals The Reason for his Absence from WWE Raw

Drew McIntyre injuring Randy Orton was a shocker for everyone in the WWE Universe. Therefore, fans were waiting for The ‘Viper’ to return and take his revenge by defeating the current WWE champion at Clash of Champions 2020.

However, Adam Pearce gave a tragic update about Orton’s injury on WWE Monday Night Raw. As per Pearce, Orton may not be able to make it to Clash of Champions at all.

If this is the case, then it means that McIntyre will face another worthy opponent. But, who is that Superstar? Adam Pearce gave that answer as well.

“Randy Orton may not be able to face you in any kind of WWE championship match and that changes the gravity of tonight. So, now your match against Keith Lee becomes about so much more than bragging rights between old friends, because, if Keith Lee beats you tonight and Randy can’t make it at Clash of Champions, then Keith faces you for the WWE Championship.”

Coming to the match between Drew McIntyre and Keith Lee, there was no final winner. Retribution invaded the match, rendering it impossible for either of the two Superstars to bring the match to its end.

Now, WWE can move this forward in one of the two ways. First, Keith Lee and Drew McIntyre can face off at Clash of Champions for the WWE Championship. Secondly, they can conduct a number one contender match to determine the new challenger.

Randy Orton gives an update on his current activities

While Randy Orton missed Monday Night Raw, he did give us an update on what he was doing. He took to social media to express that attending his wife’s photo-shoot was worth every second of missing the weekly event.

The shoot was for his brand – Slthr. The name is an ode to his alternative ring name, The ‘Viper.’

It’s great that he’s getting the time to enjoy with his wife. If his injury does not get better, then The ‘Viper’ might not be able to slither inside the ring at Clash of Champions.
