Rey Mysterio has finally broken his silence on the sadistic activities of Seth Rollins.

As we reported earlier, Monday Night Raw wasn’t the best of experiences for Dominik Mysterio. He became a victim of some devious planning by Seth Rollins who obliterated him with a kendo stick.

After the brutal assault, Dominik carried the marks of war on his chest and his back. This was perhaps the most crucial moment in his journey as a babyface on Monday Night Raw.

The selling was terrific and the audience could completely empathise with the pain of a son looking to avenge his father. The other half of the job was done by Rey Mysterio on Twitter.

He sent out a warning to the Monday Night Messiah that he had taken it too far and this would be paid back in full.

To be very honest, Rollins took it too far when he blinded Rey Mysterio and attempted to do the same with Dominik.

Is the storyline between Seth Rollins, Rey Mysterio and Domink becoming a series of attacks?

If you feel like you’re seeing the same thing play out again and again in this rivalry, I won’t blame you. It’s as if Rollins does something bad to either Dominik or Rey, and then the other avenges him.

At this point, it seems like the rivalry has been stretched to its limits, and given the lack of novelty being displayed by the writers, it looks like they seem to agree.

However, that doesn’t mean that the SummerSlam match won’t be good. Reports indicate that Dominik has been making good progress and we’ll like what we see once he steps in the ring.

However, the immense burden of this rivalry puts an unrealistic expectation on him. Anything less than a perfect performance would make the fans feel that an exceedingly long storyline that involved multiple established Superstars didn’t have a good payoff.

The No Holds Barred stipulation does take some of the pressure off. It doesn’t need to be a technical masterpiece and it’s easier to make the match more entertaining. However, the storytelling and psychology will have to be top notch.

The stage is set for Dominik. Now he needs to give the performance of a lifetime. As the cliched saying goes, the first impression may very well be the last impression.
