The Women’s Royal Rumble earlier today was nothing short of exciting and all female Superstars took it to the next level. When the Rumble is on, nothing takes fans’ eyes off it, except, of course, a tweet from Becky Lynch.

Just before the Rumble entered its climax, ‘The Man’ shared a tweet of the curtain in the Gorilla (backstage room), through which Superstars enter the ThunderDome and head to the ring.

Fans immediately assumed that Becky Lynch was making her much-awaited return to the ring and waited for her music to play when the buzzer hit zero, but that never happened.

The tweet exploded as fans eagerly waited for the former Raw Women’s Champion to enter but were badly let down when Lynch informed fans that it wasn’t what they had hoped for.

According to Becky, she only tweeted the picture of the curtain because she thought it looked good. In a recent post on Twitter, she apologized to fans for misleading them with the previous tweet.

Seth Rollins returned instead of Becky Lynch

The tease did not go completely in vain, however, as her husband, Seth Rollins, returned at #29 in the men’s Royal Rumble. Many fans assumed that she meant her husband was returning rather than herself.

Becky Lynch has been on leave from WWE ever since she found out about her pregnancy. She relinquished her title to Asuka as a result of this and has not been seen in action since then.

Fans expected Becky’s return to the Rumble as she is a future that the Women’s Division needs right now. Lynch was one of the dream entries and it made sense, but the former Champion decided to take some more time off.

Seth Rollins entered the Rumble, and for a moment, it looked as if he was winning. However, he was eliminated by Edge, who went on to win the Rumble from the #1 spot.

If Becky is to return, there’s no doubt that she will target the Raw Women’s Champion. We will just have to wait this one out and hope she comes back sooner than later.
