“I Feel Extremely Safe”- Matt Riddle Spills The Details About WWE’s Safety Precautions After Talent Tests Positive For COVID-19
COVID-19 has been handing out major losses to many companies. Drops in stock prices have affected everybody. WWE has even seen a massive drop in viewership ratings for RAW and SmackDown. However, they keep the show going. Matt Riddle explains how WWE is following every precaution in the book to keep the employees safe from the virus.
“I personally feel extremely safe you know,” says Riddle “I’m where everybody’s wearing a mask for the program. When you’re wrestling you’re not wearing a mask but we’re in there.”
Riddle explains how he’s working around people that are taking all the necessary precautions like wearing masks and limiting social contact with each other. He says that only the wrestler in the ring do not wear masks, but they’re all in it together.

“They have plexiglass all around from the fans and stuff like that and you know, the other talents supporting us you know, and I think the big thing is they’ve been checking us you know,” says Riddle.
He lists all the measures that WWE is taking and how wrestlers feel no obligation going into the ring. WWE has ensured a safe work environment.

“They’ve been testing us you know, they’ve been taking our temperatures you know, and they’ve been on top of it the best you possibly can in this current situation while still inviting the program so you know I feel extremely safe you know and it kinda reminds me of like The Ultimate Fighter,” explains Riddle.
Matt Riddle notes how WWE is ticking off all the boxes in their checklist. They are ensuring that all their employees are totally safe and are soldiering through the pandemic.

“We use way lesser people there,” says Riddle, “It’s kind of like an empty warehouse you know there’s camera crew but they’re all like wearing masks so everybody’s wearing masks other than the people that are performing and you gotta like ready-set-go it’s literally just like The Ultimate Fighter but it’s WWE.”
Riddle says that the entire scene at WWE now reminds him of The Ultimate Fighter. The resemblance and vibe of the area look almost the same according to Riddle.

It’s nice to know that WWE is meticulously following all the precautions necessary. They are trying to keep the show running, and we can only hope that all the employees and staff stay safe.
