Chris Jericho and Brock Lesnar are two of professional wrestling’s most popular and top draws. Both men haven’t faced each other in a one-on-one match, but they faced off six years ago on Monday Night Raw. The fate? Y2J felt the F5.
There’s also another time both men got in each other’s faces and it was not a match, but an actual fight.

Brock Lesnar faced his OVW alumnus Randy Orton in the main event of WWE SummerSlam 2016. Even though the opponent was Orton, it was a very typical Lesnar match with him dominating most of it. Lesnar won the match via TKO after he busted open Orton’s head, leaving him in a pool of blood.
The sight looked very scary, and it legitimately seemed ‘The Beast Incarnate‘ had gone overboard with his actions by busting open Orton. As social media exploded, there was one man in the back that also exploded and it was none other than ‘Le Champion’ Chris Jericho.

Like most of us who saw the match, Jericho felt Brock was purposefully hurting Orton. He was concerned for Orton’s wellbeing after he was busted open in such a fashion.
Word got out that Chris Jericho was furious. He asked producers and Vince McMahon what was happening but didn’t get any satisfying answers.
It was when Brock came backstage that things quickly escalated. Jericho said something to Brock, and he said something back. In a matter of moments, both men were in each other’s faces, ready to exchange blows. Thankfully, it didn’t go that far.
Jericho recalls confrontation with Lesnar
Jericho had weighed in on what happened that night after the main event of SummerSlam 2016 on You’re Welcome with Chael Sonnen a month later.
He said, “Listen, let’s make no bones about this, Brock is a trained fighter, and he’s a beast. I’m not the type of person to back down from anybody — to my detriment. Hothead fire off and we were in each other’s face and that happens sometimes.
“I said something and (Lesnar) said something and next thing you know we’re nose to nose kind of yelling at each other. And (it) diffused fairly quickly.”

The ‘Demo God’ didn’t know of the planned finish. Hence, for anyone that doesn’t know it’s a plan, it’s obvious to be concerned for a friend.
“Listen, whatever the finish is none of my business. Whatever they’re doing or whatever happens, listen man, that’s the way it is. It’s not my business, it’s not my responsibility or my call — but, when I see a friend of mine lying in a pool of his own blood, whether it’s a work or not, that’s real blood. That’s a real concussion that he suffered.” H/t Forbes
