Revealed: List of Words Vince McMahon Has Banned in WWE

The Chairman of WWE, Vince McMahon, has a strange hatred towards certain words. In fact, WWE has banned several words, most notably the word ‘Wrestling.’ 

WWE banned the word from being used in every show, including RAW, SmackDown, NXT, and even the WWE PPV’S.

However, now it seems like WWE has lifted the unusual ban. On this week’s Monday Night RAW, Edge and Randy Orton had a segment where Charly Caruso said that Edge Vs. Randy Orton could be the greatest ‘Wrestling’ match ever.

Dave Meltzer confirmed this on Twitter, reposting a fan’s question. You can read the tweet below. 

Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio mentioned that Paul Heyman could likely be behind this. He also said that Heyman has tried to get the word un-banned even in the past, but in vain, until now.

Did Paul Heyman Convince Vince McMahon?

Paul Heyman is the owner and creative force behind the legendary ECW and the current advocate of Brock Lesnar. Heyman has always been a crucial part of WWE. He moved to WWE after ECW wrapped up in 2001 and is now the executive director of Monday Night RAW.

He has advocated five wrestlers to date including Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, RVD, Kurt Angle and the Big Show. Heyman has been a strong contributor to WWE’s creative team. So did he manage to get the word ‘Wrestler’ un-banned?

The word was last used when his former client CM Punk dropped the infamous ‘pipebomb,’ but now we can surely say the word is sticking around. Dave Metzler mentioned how Heyman loves the word, so kudos to Paul Heyman for bringing back the word.
