A long storyline came to a screeching halt on the latest episode of WWE SmackDown. Rey Mysterio faced off against Seth Rollins in a huge match to put an end to their bitter rivalry that has lasted for months.

Starting shortly after WrestleMania, Rollins and Mysterio have been feuding on and off on Raw. “The Monday Night Messiah” was not left alone after blinding Mysterio in one eye.

After emerging the big winner against Dominik Mysterio, Seth Rollins came out as the winner. After his draft to SmackDown earlier this month, he truly thought he was out of the feud.

Unfortunately, the Mysterio family followed him to the blue brand in the draft to reignite the feud. The two competed on the latest episode of SmackDown to settle it once and for all.

That match started strong with both Superstars trading blows. Using his agility and size to his advantage, ‘The Master of the 619’ managed to score some early hits on Rollins.

However, things got a lot more interesting when Rollins decided to take it outside the ring. ‘The Savior of SmackDown’ set up steel stairs to deal damage to Mysterio.

Rollins was probably going to blind Mysterio’s other eye as he has been doing for the past months. He was also going to go for a Curb Stomp to finish it off.

Seth Rollins Powerbombed Rey Mysterio through a table

Although Mysterio turned it around and made Rollins pay for his own setup, things didn’t go all his way after this.

A table was set near the corner of the ring, and someone had to go through it. After a huge tussle, Mysterio tried to throw Rollins into the unforgiving wood.

However, Rollins used his unreal core strength to turn it around and deliver a thumping Powerbomb to Mysterio through the table. Mysterio was shockingly able to kick out of this.

Murphy then returned and fans thought he was going to help the Mysterios but he turned his back on them! Handing Rollins the chair, a major change was yet to occur.

Murphy double crossed Seth Rollins in a classic WWE plot twist

As the former WWE Champion was arming to end Mysterio, Murphy kicked his former master. This revealed that he was on the side of the Mysterios after all.

Mysterio ended up winning the match after a 619 followed by a Frogsplash, which was a tribute to the WWE legend Eddie Guerrero. The final chapter had been closed, and Rey Mysterio had taken his eye for an eye.

Karma had come in full circle for Rollins, and there were a lot of things that went sideways for him. Mysterio then gave his blessing to Murphy to be in a relationship with his daughter Aalyah.
