In a recent backstage interview, WWE Superstar Kevin Owens gave his opinion on the much talked about ‘Eye for an Eye Match’ which is going to be fought between Rey Mysterio and Seth Rollins at Extreme Rules.

Everyone had the exact same reaction as Kevin Owens when Rey Mysterio challenged Seth Rollins to this brutal stipulation.

The unreal setting of it undoubtedly fits into the ‘Horror Show’ theme, but both men are going to have to watch their eyes (the irony).

More than the match itself, everyone is wondering how WWE are planning to play it out. It is widely suggested that CGI is going to be used for the eye-gouging part.

There is also talk that a glass eye will be used, but the former argument sounds more likely.

“Look, it sounds terrible that, you know, it seems like the outcome of this match is going to be one man taking another man’s eye out,” says Owens. “But Extreme Rules is subtitled, or whatever you want to call it, ‘The Horror Show’.”

Kevin Owens isn’t too sure about the match

Kevin Owens has been sticking by Mysterio’s side the entire time. He has also played a key role in clearing the path for Mysterio by ensuring that the high-flyer doesn’t get outnumbered and ambushed.

However, Owens too seemed alienated when Mysterio presented this stipulation to Rollins. It was far past his tolerance level.

“Now my wife and I are big horror movie fans, we watch them all the time. I’ve seen plenty of eyes getting gouged out in films. I’ve never seen it in front of me in person but I’ll be here,” says Owens. “I have a morbid curiosity for it and I’ll definitely be here to watch it and I certainly hope Rey Mysterio walks away with another man’s eye in his hand.”

“Either way it’s gonna be pretty interesting. What makes me feel better about it is that I’m not in the match, so my eyes will remain intact. Makes it even better,” concludes Owens.
