WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has had a truly legendary career in the WWE. He recently revealed an interaction with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, which showcases The Rock’s extremely humble personality at that time.

Flair had amassed a great string of matches by the time, whereas The Rock’s career had just come about. The Nature Boy was already a bonafide Superstar by then. He was widely considered to be one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, even then.

Flair recollected a fond memory, at one of his many WrestleManias throughout the years, when he got some advice from Johnson.

He’s getting ready to go to the ring with Hogan for what was a phenomenal part of our history and he goes over to me and he said, ‘I heard you’re taking a big bump tonight. Be careful out there’.

Nature Boys shares a heartwarming interaction with The Rock

The Rock was concerned about Flair’s match and had advised him to take care, as Flair was slated to absorb heavy punishment that night. Flair seemed extremely receptive to this admirable gesture. 

I went, ‘Ok. Did you just say that to me? You’re in the main event.’ Like I’m going to take a Superplex but I mean, I appreciate it. It’s funny how things catch you off guard, right,said Flair.

“Where are you?” Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Calls Out President Donald Trump

Flair acknowledged this kind gesture, even this many years down the line. At that time, The Rock was waiting for his main event match in front of a massive audience.

The fact that he still found the time and the need to feel concerned for his fellow Superstar, speaks volumes about his great personality, and extremely likable character outside the ring.

Here’s The Rock. You got 60,000 people turning away at the door and he’s going, ‘I heard you’re gonna take a big bump out there. Take it easy.’ [Laughs] Okay. Thanks, Rock. Get me in one of your movies,jokes The Nature Boy.

Ric Flair has been an important part of WWE history as we know it. He was a very early pioneer of the flamboyant, larger-than-life style of fighting and working the mic in the ring.

Flair arguably laid the foundation for more exciting stars to make it big in the WWE. That being said, it is extremely heartwarming to see him command such respect from his peers and The Rock, back in his day.
