The WrestleMania streak of The Undertaker will always be the greatest record in the history of pro wrestling. All the WWE legends, superstars, and fans witnessed the moment live when Brock Lesnar broke the streak at WrestleMania 30.

However, one WWE legend who performed that night denied it when he heard The Deadman lost. He recently elaborated on that moment and told how he got the news via a close person.

On the newest episode of Oh…You Didn’t Know  podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg Jesse James gave his perspective of The Undertaker losing at WrestleMania 30. He said, “I disagreed. But again, you know it’s a creative decision.” James was in his hotel room when the match happened. He recalls his wife telling the news, and he did not believe it.

The DX member said, “My wife texted me and said. ‘Undertaker just lost!’ I thought she was lying to me. I couldn’t get it up on my IPad as I was trying to watch it on my IPad in the room. She said he just lost. I just said nope, he didn’t. They are gonna do something again, there gonna start the match over or some. I was in denial because, like I said, I wasn’t in the no.”

Road Dogg had wrestled a match earlier that night against The Shield. He teamed up with Billy Gunn and Kane to take on The Hounds of Justice, which was a quick match.

The feeling the former tag team talks about here is the same which was felt by everyone. Taker’s WrestleMania streak was a symbol of trust for the WWE Universe that he will return the next year.

Road Dogg says The Undertaker should have retired with a clean WrestleMania record

The title states the DX member has to say. Clearly, we all wanted the same thing as Road Dogg said, i.e.without any loss with a record of 27-0.

James, “What a moment! I could never forget that guy’s face, the fan with the glasses. I mean, he’s just like, ‘Oh my god. WHAT! And that’s just how we all felt. Looking back on it now, I think we all kind of still feel that way.”

He added, “You hitched the wagon to Brock, but at what expense, you know what I mean. What cost? I don’t know, it does’t matter, but I’d love to go him out clean and never lose a WrestleMania. That would be really cool.”

Many thought Taker wouldn’t return after losing at WrestleMania 30. However, The Deadman wrestled at every WrestleMania except in 2019. He had his last match at AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36 in a Boneyard Match.
