Ronda Rousey disappeared from WWE television programming right after WrestleMania 39. Was it only due to dealing with some injuries or also her dissatisfaction with her booking? Only Rousey would have the correct answer to that intriguing question. Nevertheless, the former RAW Women’s champion came back alongside her former MMA cohort, Shayna Baszler on the red brand this week.

The duo wasted no time in inserting themselves back into the conversation. But exactly how did they do it? They did the very same thing they have been doing for years. Not only that, Rousey has made it clear who is the prime target on her radar.

The Baddest Woman on the Planet was nowhere to be found after WWE wrapped its WrestleMania season this year. However, the former UFC champion and her partner Shayna Baszler got drafted to Monday Night RAW in the 2023 WWE Draft. This indicated that their return was imminent and only a matter of time.

The wait was finally over this week on RAW. The festivities before their arrival saw one-half of the WWE Women’s tag team champion Raquel Rodriguez score a win over Chelsea Green. Originally, the bout was scheduled as a tag team match for the tag titles. However, Green and her partner Sonya Deville had their match postponed due to Liv Morgan’s unfortunate shoulder injury.

Rousey and Baszler re-emerged after being a month away from WWE TV as Rodriguez was heading backstage after her victory. The duo laid a beat down on Raquel, hinting at wanting a shot at the Women’s tag team championships. Moreover, Ronda made the first step towards their intentions by sending out a message for the Latina superstar on Instagram.

“See ya next week @raquelwwe 😈.”

Rousey’s message could indicate her first return match to take place next week on RAW against Raquel Rodriguez.

The former MMA fighters competed in a high-stakes Women’s Showcase Fatal 4-way tag team match at WrestleMania 39 in their last appearance. Moreover, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler emerged victorious on the Grandest Stage of them all. Their win solidified their claim to be next in line for a shot at the WWE Women’s tag team titles.

However, Rousey’s unfortunate elbow injury as disclosed by her derailed the team’s momentum. This led to Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan stepping up to the opportunity and winning the titles for themselves.
