“Get This Guy off My TV”, “Actual Dogsh*t”: Despite Creating History, Bray Wyatt Miserably Fails to Win Fans’ Love

Bray Wyatt is one of the most creative and one of the most ruthless WWE Superstars amongst the entire roster. Wyatt was released back in 2021 after WrestleMania. While, Wyatt was massively over among the fans, WWE decided on firing Bray Wyatt.
However, after a gap of almost one and a half years, Bray Wyatt made his return to WWE at Survivor Series 2022. Post his return, Wyatt had been involved in several lackluster promos. Until he involved himself in a feud with LA Knight.
Even though, he still was missing in-ring action, he was instead involved in a long-term feud with Knight. However, it only had promos and backstage action. However, after a wait of almost 3 months, fans finally were able to witness Wyatt in action at Royal Rumble 2023.

After The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes won the Royal Rumble 2023 match, Bray Wyatt faced LA Knight in the following match. However, fans were utterly disappointed with what took place. Wyatt and Knight faced each other in a pitch-black match. The match was instead full of neon lights, and bright colors.

WWE fans were, however, disappointed with how the match lacked action and hardcore violence, which the fans expected in a no-disqualification match. Their match also ended quickly, with just one Sister Abigail.
As the match concluded, Wyatt revealed a ghoulish version of himself and no-sold all of Knight’s attack, until Uncle Howdy showed up. Howdy showed up, and made a splash on Knight from an incredible height, which he unfortunately botched, and missed.
All of these combined disappointments failed to cheer up the fans, and they took to the internet to let out their frustrations. Despite creating history by being in the first pitch-black match, Wyatt was unable to please the fans.
WWE Fans react to Bray Wyatt’s disappointing match against LA Knight
Fans worldwide had high hopes from Bray Wyatt’s major match after his return. However, he failed to delight the fans, and instead let out a disappointing match. While he was involved in top-notch storytelling, Wyatt fell flat on the in-ring action.
WWE fans made sure to have their frustrations known.

I know Bray Wyatt sells a ton of merch but his storylines often culminate in bad gimmicky matches. This is what separates him from Taker and Foley they did dark storylines but most times you got a cool match at the end, Buried Alive, Casket Match, Hell in a Cell etc #RoyalRumble

Bray Wyatt at this stage is like wrestling's JJ Abrams, starts off red hot, sort off starts to drop off in the middle, completely collapses at the end.

Fans were aggregated on how providing creative control to wrestlers can ruin a good storyline, which Hulk Hogan was once accused of. Although this was just Wyatt’s first match since his return, fans can expect more in the future.
