Sasha Banks Makes History at Hell in a Cell After a Barbaric Match with Bayley

Sasha Banks went in for her third Hell in a Cell match as Bayley entered her first. Although the SmackDown Women’s Champion never wanted the match, she got tortured into it. Sasha Banks eventually proved why she is the “Boss of the Cell” after a historic win.

The match was expected to get intense as it was more for revenge than the title. Bayley entered the match with her faithful steel chair, but as the Cell was lowered, Banks kicked the chair off Bayley, making her and Banks “equals.”

Banks had control for the first part of the match, hitting two Meteoras. However, Bayley gained leverage over the “Boss of the Cell” when she swung her across two kendo sticks meant for her.

Bayley continued to torture her former best friend with Steel Chairs for some near-falls. Moreover, she employed innovative ways to torture Banks’ injured neck.

Banks made a comeback as she sprayed Bayley with the fire extinguisher. After torturing Bayley with the kendo sticks, The Boss went in for a frog splash. However, Bayley defended herself with a steel chair.

She made a contraption with a ladder and steel chairs. However, Banks took the advantage despite beat downs and delivered the Champ’s own maneuver Belly to Bayley.

Bayley tried to gain an advantage with her chair, but Banks was done with Bayley. Bayley tried to deliver another Belly to Bayley with a chair to Banks, but Banks had other plans.

Banks swung Bayley over the chair and put Banks into a Bank Statement with the chair. The move was reminiscent of the duo’s previous confrontation on SmackDown.

With the Bank Statement locked in, Bayley could not find an escape and tapped out. Therefore, Banks won her first SmackDown Women’s Championship, ending Bayley’s 380 days reign.

This brings an end to Banks and Bayley’s month-long feud. The duo started as best friends but soon fell apart after they lost their tag team titles. Sasha Banks became the first Superstar to win the RAW and SmackDown Women’s Title and the tag titles in one calendar year.
