The Rock is one of the most successful professional wrestlers of all time and has inspired a generation of superstars. However, Rocky wouldn’t be legend he is if it wasn’t for his idols, one of them is ‘Nature Boy’ Ric Flair.

Earlier in the week, Dwayne Johnson named his Mount Rushmore of professional wrestling. The People’s Champ included The Undertaker, Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, and Steve Austin in his response.

Johnson and Flair have a lot of mutual respect, and it was on display through a tweet by Ric Flair. Flair recently tweeted a picture of him with a young Rock in a tribute post.

Flair said that there’s no bigger word in the world than respect and that he looks up to The People’s Champ.

The tweet must have been a tremendous deal for Johnson, as he has called Flair his hero multiple times.

Then, Rock reacted to Flair’s tweet and added more details to the picture Ric posted. He called himself ‘a pimply faced 12-year-old with an afro’. Rocky said that the picture was taken at an NWA convention in Las Vegas, which was held once a year.

The Rock said, “Respect, always brother.”

In the same tweet, he mentioned that along with Flair, his heroes included Dusty Rhodes, Rocky Johnson, Don Muraco, Road Warrior Hawk and Animal, and Roddy Piper. He added, “I was pimply faced 12 year old with an afro and you were (and will always be) “The Man”.”

Ric Flair criticizes Seth Rollins

A crazy fan attacked Seth Rollins two weeks ago on an episode of RAW. Following the attack, Rollins admitted the ordeal was terrifying and also thanked security for doing their part in protecting him.

However, Ric Flair does not appreciate Rollins admitting his fear. The two-time WWE Hall of Famer spoke on his podcast, Wooooo Nation Uncensored about the situation and shared his take on the incident. [H/T Fightful]

Flair started by saying he could say a lot, but he won’t. “I’m just going to say this. I’ve seen that happen, but I’ve never seen it where I recall the mark, the fan, clearly was getting the better of the individual.”

“My problem with Seth is if you’re a top guy in this business, and you know anything about the psychology of what the fans think and feel, which they really do, you never, ever, ever, get off an airplane in L.A. and say, I was terrified.” Flair added.

The former WWE champion said that being terrified of a fan is questionable and terrifying is being in a plane crash, not a wrestling fan. Ric told listeners what he would have done instead was attack the fan back.

“Do you think I’ve ever beat anybody? No, but in most people’s minds, I didn’t lose because I kept lying about it even though it was a work. You never admit you got your ass kicked, much less being horrified or terrified. Please.”

Charlotte Flair’s father then said that if one is playing as a heel, they should never admit defeat. What do you make of the comments?
