Recently, The Rock shared a video on Twitter to announce a new wrestling show, ‘Tales from the Territories,’ in partnership with VICE TV. He narrated what he plans to bring on the table with the new show, and it’s nothing but promising!

Dwayne Johnson narrates, “This is where it all began, canvas rope and steel, the fabled squared circle. Travel to the golden age of professional wrestling, when the industry was divided into local territories.”

He continued, “When wrestlers lived and breathed their characters 24/7. Risked their lives to protect the wrestling business and fought for real inside and outside of the ring.”

The narration concludes, “It was the wild wild west in pro wrestling. You know their names. You have no idea where they came from. Bone-chilling tales of triumph, violence, and perseverance told by the legends who lived them. This is where it all began.”

Furthermore, the former WWE Champion introduced himself and Dany Garcia as the Executive Producers of the show. Plus, the show also has assistance from the creators of the infamous Dark Side of the Ring series. This will be The Rock’s second series on pro wrestling, following Young Rock on NBC.

Last week, The Rock’s Instagram post got him major backlash from fans, especially DCEU fans. Reason? He called the ‘DC Extended Universe’ as ‘Black Adam DC Extended Universe’. This backfired on him as the fans didn’t want to see Black Adam dominate and change the course of their favorite comic book series.

Luckily, the resentment for Black Adam did not carry forward to Johnson’s other projects. In fact, fans are over the moon as The Rock prepares to showcase the inside stories from the territory days of professional wrestling. Not just fans, but ECW Legend Blue Meanie also took to Twitter to thank the ‘Brahma Bull.’
