Big E Gets Emotional Talking About New Day’s Separation After Draft

The New Day had one of the best runs as a team. Sadly, all good things must come to an end. On the latest episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, the famous trio were split between the two brands. The draft saw the new SmackDown Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods transferred to Raw, while Big E would continue on SmackDown.

Following this heartbreaking news, the trio spoke about their feelings after the big split. On the SmackDown’s post-show ‘Talking Smack’, the three spoke together for probably the last time.

Although jokes were shared about Kofi, they were very remorseful about the split. Xavier Woods brightened up the fans by assuring them that the New Day would continue as a brotherhood on Mondays as well as Fridays.

The shocking decision to split a crowd favorite team broke the hearts of many young fans. Although, this course of events has been carefully planned by WWE.

WWE wants to break Big E free from The New Day

The company wants to give Big E a huge push involving a possible title run. Over the years, it has been noticed that the big man has been put on a leash in New Day. He has never been able to explode on the main roster as he did in NXT.

This would also make sense since Big E has been doing a good job as a solo character. All this on the table, WWE may have plans for Kofi and Woods too.

Many found it very shocking that the SmackDown Tag Team Champions were being drafted to Raw. This meant the titles themselves would be going to Raw. This too has a deep-rooted meaning.

The main roster tag team division of WWE has been in extremely dire straits. Unlike NXT, the individual brands of Raw and SmackDown leave a very slim picking for each Championship.

This is why WWE may unify the Raw and SmackDown titles, which would make the tag team division a huge area to pick from.

For now, a new sunrise has dawned on the New Day. Will they really continue? We have to watch Big E very closely to find out.
