“Such an Overhyped Match”: John Cena’s First Match in 475 Days Leaves Fans Nitpicking

The final SmackDown ended with John Cena and Kevin Owens standing tall at the end of the night. As Cena said while challenging The Bloodline, he might have ended the group’s winning streak tonight.

The match had several good moments, but ‘The Cenation Leader’ was the biggest attraction on SmackDown. The words Hustle, Loyalty and Respect flaunted all over the Amalie Arena, but a few fans seem not to be impressed by the match.

The match started with Owens and Zayn as The Bloodline dominating for the first half. However, The Prizefighter seems to carry the match for more time. The match was short and there were several commercial time.

However, seeing ‘Super Cena’ win was a satisfying moment for the fans. WWE shared on Twitter writing, “.@FightOwensFight and @JohnCena pick up the win over @WWERomanReigns & @SamiZayn! #SmackDown”

The good moments included Cena going toe-to-toe with Zayn and Reigns in the ring. Moreover, the double Five Knuckle Shuffle from Cena and Owens got a huge pop. Nevertheless, the match was for a shorter time, which might have upset several fans who were rooting for the match.

The Cenation Leader’s return match was thought of as a major one by the fans. However, they might have been disappointed as the match was short-lived and Cena didn’t wrestle for much time. Given below are some of those reactions.

This is big trouble for Sami Zayn!

The match was a short one, but the entire WWE Universe was already loving it!

Unsurprisingly, a few fans didn’t like the match and expected more out of it!

More upset fans.

Cena had his match after 475+ days and we can understand why he spends less time inside the ring. However, the fans expected more action from the 16-time world champion, but they didn’t get to see it.

Are Sami Zayn’s days in The Bloodline coming to an end?

This loss on SmackDown can be called the first defeat for The Bloodline in WWE in the past two years. Even though Zayn took the pin, he is the Honorary Uce and his defeat is the entire stable’s defeat.

Now it seems on the next SmackDown, The Head of the Table will look after this. Will he remove Zayn from The Bloodline and what will be the other punishments planned? Things will be clearer in the next episodes of SmackDown.
