Roman Reigns Defeats Braun Strowman with Unpredictable Finish

Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman did not hold back on Friday Night SmackDown in their battle for the Universal championship title. Since Strowman is now a Raw Superstar, everyone knew that The Big Dog would retain his title. However, he did it in such a fashion that fans were left with their jaws dropped.

For the first time in Strowman’s career, a Superstar defeated him by making him tap out. Moreover, it was the first time that Roman Reigns used a submission move to emerge victorious.

The Tribal Chief has never been a big fan of submission maneuvers. However, ever since his change in personality, he has been doing new segments, working new moves, and bringing something new to the table every time he comes to the ring. The heel turn at SummerSlam brought with it several unpredictable surprises.

The next step for Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman

With WWE Raw Underground scrapped, Braun Strowman will most probably find himself in the storyline involving Keith Lee.

Coming to Roman Reigns, the assumption is that he will hold on to the Universal Title for a while. He is gearing up to put the title on the line at Hell in a Cell where the challenger is none other than his cousin, Jey Uso.

Uso appeared in the ring after The Big Dog and the Monster Among Men ended their battle. The Universal Champion ordered Uso to enter the ring. To show his cousin what he is capable of, Roman Reigns attacked a passed-out Strowman with a steel chair.

Finally, Reigns had a special message for his cousin once he entered the ring.

“This is how we eat. If I’m not on top, we don’t do this. I love you, I would never do this to you, but you forced my hand.”

He offered Uso to take a shot at Reigns with the chair. Uso refused before showering him with a series of punches. He recovered quickly and ended up attacking Jey Uso with a Superman punch and left the ring.

It will be exhilarating to watch the match between Roman Reigns and Jey Uso at Hell in a Cell considering the history and the family.
