The recent WWE Draft moved Seth Rollins from Monday Night Raw to Friday Night SmackDown. As expected, this put a big question mark on his Monday Night Messiah moniker.

To clarify the way forward, WWE caught up with Rollins backstage to ask him about the future of his infamous character. He was also asked whether he feels overlooked given that unlike last year, he was not the first draft pick for Monday Night Raw.

“First of all, I would like to introduce myself, I am Seth Rollins, the former Monday Night Messiah. Now, I guess, SmackDown’s Savior. I don’t know how that part is going to play out. But I will say that, no, the numbers do not matter to me.

“You got to understand how these things work. It’s very natural for the champions to go off the board first. But who was the first behind that? And who was the first to change brands? Who is going to be the most talked-about draft pick of this draft? Think I have answered all those questions.”

Seth Rollins will spread the message of the greater good on SmackDown

Rollins was asked if there was anything additional he will bring to SmackDown. As per the former Monday Night Messiah, his savior character will be brought to the blue brand, albeit in a different avatar. In fact, he might just be what the blue brand needs at this point.

“More of the same. I am not done spreading my message. The greater good has not come to fruition. I think that, while I am happy to leave Raw behind, while I am happy to kind of blaze new trails, sad to not be around to watch the Mysterios crumble anymore, but, I am bringing my brand to the Blue Brand and I am very excited to do so.”

While this calm and composed side of Rollins is quite mesmerizing to watch, he might be wrong about the challenges that await him on SmackDown.

WWE does not make a move without having a set plan. Let’s not forget that the Mysterios are moving to the Blue Brand as well. Hence, the storyline he was “sad” to leave behind might just continue.
