Bayley has delivered the biggest shocker of 2020 – yes, it was a bigger moment than Roman Reigns’ return. After months of subtle hints at a betrayal, Bayley dug an entire sword into her friend Sasha Banks’ back.

To be honest, we all expected this split to happen sooner rather than later. However, no one expected it to culminate before WrestleMania.

On the latest episode of SmackDown, Bayley’s anger couldn’t be contained any longer. After losing the SmackDown tag team Championship match, she unloaded on a vulnerable Sasha Banks.

Bayley and Sasha Banks lost their rematch

The duo faced off against Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler to reclaim their lost titles. They put up a good fight against the behemothe. Unfortunately, Jax and Baszler proved to be too monstrous a unit to overcome.

Even though both Banks and Bayley were pinned at once, the former seemed to have suffered the brunt of the attack. Her knee was eviscerated and medical units came in to help her.

However, Sasha refused any medical help, visibly frustrated with her second loss in a row. A teared up Bayley asked the medics to step away. She wanted to console her friend.

However, in the biggest twist of the night, Bayley destroyed Sasha Banks. She went completely unginged and meticulously dismembered her former best friend.

After she was done with Sasha’s knee, Bayley did the unthinkable. Her purpose was not just to attack Sasha; she wanted to humiliate her and end her career.

To that end, Bayley brought out a steel chair. After wrapping it around Sasha’s neck, Bayley delivered a death blow by launching an attack from the top rope.

Needless to say, Sasha was left annihilated in the ring. ‘The Boss’ had to be carried off the arena in a stretcher.

There are two directions that this story can take from here. Firstly, the SmackDown Women’s Championship match can take place at Clash of Champions. That will be an impatient booking in my opinion.

The second route looks more plausible and intriguing. Sasha should be written off television for the remainder of 2020.

In January, ‘The Boss’ should return and begin the journey towards a historic WrestleMania main event. The two have set the story for a classic. It’s up to WWE now to convert it into money.
