WATCH: AJ Styles Wreaks Havoc Backstage After Shocking Title Change On SmackDown

Under new circumstances, it is safe to assume that AJ Styles is NOT happy. In a shocking turn of events, Styles is not the champ anymore. Jeff Hardy defeated Styles for the Intercontinental Championship this Friday. The former champion took out all his frustration on an old friend backstage.

AJ Styles goes berserk backstage

In a recent video posted by WWE, AJ is seen furious after the loss. When backstage, an interviewer asked Styles if he lost because he was “overconfident.” This statement made Styles go ballistic.

This week marks the second on-screen appearance of Styles’ former TNA colleague. However, here in WWE, he works as the former champion’s personal statistician. Last week, Abyss made his first appearance as Mr. Parks, as he calculated how no one could defeat Styles. As seen in the video, Styles is clearly blaming Parks for his loss.

WWE seemingly acknowledged Parks’ past Abyss self with their caption. Some fans wonder if WWE could turn Parks into Abyss in the future.

Joseph Parks, aka Abyss, is working under WWE as a producer for a while now. It was his second on-screen appearance for the go-home edition of SmackDown.

Jeff Hardy wins the title

After challenging AJ Styles last week, Jeff Hardy won the Intercontinental Championship this Friday. He was cleared for action earlier in the night, and he limped to the ring. However, Hardy won the title for the fifth time in his career.

It is yet to be declared if AJ Styles will challenge Hardy for his title rematch at WWE SummerSlam this Sunday ( August 23rd).

The win also marks the first title change in WWE ThunderDome; a new virtual experience, live from Amway Centre, Orlando.
