If you’re one of those fans who complain that the WWE doesn’t spend time in creating compelling stories anymore, then this week of programming would certainly change your perception. After a blockbuster segment on Raw between Randy Orton and Ric Flair, Braun Strowman and The Fiend stole the show on SmackDown.

The dark horse of this race has been the supremely talented Alexa Bliss. This week on the blue brand, she played her part in the rivalry to perfection.

As Braun Strowman walked out to the ring to call out the demon himself, he was instead graced by the presence of “Little Miss Bliss.” Teasing a potential romance between the two, Bliss demanded answers from Strowman for his sudden change of heart. Notably, Strowman had claimed last week that he didn’t care what The Fiend did to Bliss.

Braun repeated his stance this week as well, adding that anyone who came in contact with The Fiend was infected by his evil. Surprisingly, this offended Bliss to the point that she landed several slaps on the face of “The Monster Among Men.”

An incensed Strowman attacked Alexa Bliss launching her high up in the air. Interestingly, the moment of Bliss’ landing wasn’t visible due to the power going out.

This provoked The Fiend to come out to the ring. In one of the most twisted scenes we had seen in weeks, Braun appeared on the big screen while The Fiend Bray Wyatt was left in the ring with Bliss, both the monsters laughing hysterically.

I don’t know about you, but this episode certainly got me hyped for this rivalry. With Strowman attacking Bliss, the lines between face and heel have been substantially blurred.

It seems like Twitter agrees with my stand.
