“Smartest Man in The Room” – CM Punk Calls Goldberg His Favorite WWE Superstar in 2020

It has been seven years since CM Punk notoriously walked out on WWE following the Royal Rumble. Although he has been busy in other ventures, the fans still want him back in the squared circle.
His in-ring return to WWE is highly doubtful; however, last year, Punk returned to their programming under Fox Network’s contract. Unfortunately for fans, it was a FOX contract only, and he had no contact with WWE authorities.
Despite his disdain towards the promotion, Punk regularly indulges in fan q&a sessions on Twitter whose principal focus remains on WWE.

In one such session recently, ‘the best in the world’ revealed his favorite WWE Superstar in 2020. He named Goldberg and even called him the smartest person in the room.

Punk is probably referring to the fact that Goldberg earns a huge amount of money despite him having a contract for only two matches a year! Goldberg revealed last year –
“I am contracted with the WWE for the next two years through 2022, ’23. I’ve got two matches per year. I’ve exhausted my limit this year quite early on April 5 with WrestleMania under these really weird circumstances.”
After stepping into the ring at WrestleMania, Goldberg is back in WWE. He has his eyes set on Drew McIntyre‘s WWE title and would stop at nothing to get it.
He will have his match for the title at Royal Rumble 2021, and the world will witness if the WCW legend can win the WWE title for the first time in his life.
CM Punk is open to WWE offers
Coming back to Punk again, another major question was asked about WWE. As we all know, WWE releases an annual game called WWE 2K. A fan asked Punk if he is open to such offers from WWE.

The fan gave instances of how Goldberg, Sting, and Arnold Schwarzenegger have been made into pre-order/deluxe edition bonus characters. Punk revealed he was open to the offer and would consider it, but given his bitter relationship with Vince McMahon, the offer won’t come.
