A former WWE Superstar made her debut this week on AEW Dynamite. This Superstar was a part of a very famous faction back in the day in  WWE.

A veteran in the wrestling business, Serena Deeb made her debut on the latest edition of the show. The news of Deeb’s debut was revealed on the AEW Dynamite pre-show.

Deeb faced NWA Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa in a fairly decent contest. Notably, the NWA champ will be facing Hikaru Shida soon at AEW All Out.

Serena Deeb was a Straight Edge Society member in the WWE

Deeb joined WWE in 2009 in their developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW). Back then, she wrestled and trained with current female veterans like Natalya, Alicia Fox, Gail Kim, AJ Lee, and Naomi.

In 2010, Deeb was in the audience, enjoying an episode of SmackDown. She then jumped into the ring and agreed to shave her head bald as an initiation to join CM Punk’s Straight Edge Society.

Soon, former WWE superstar Luke Gallows joined the stable. Serena had her only televised match on the August 20 edition of SmackDown. Serena and Luke Gallows teamed up to take on Big Show and Kelly Kelly. The stipulation demanded the expulsion of the duo if they lost.

Serena pinned Kelly and picked up the win for her team, keeping their WWE hopes alive. Unfortunately, she was released days later from the company for apparently not living her straight-edge character outside the WWE.

Seven years later, Deeb returned to the WWE to participate in the Mae Young Classic. Unfortunately, she lost in her second round.

In February 2018, WWE announced that they had signed Deeb as a coach at the WWE Performance Center. In the year 2020, she was fired again due to the COVID-19 budget cuts.
