SURPRISE! King Nakamura Wins His Second Intercontinental Championship on WWE SmackDown

On this week’s SmackDown from the BOK Center in Tulsa, we witnessed a new Intercontinental Champion – King Nakamura, who became a 2 time Intercontinental champion with the victory.
Nakamura defeated Apollo Crews, who was with Commander Azeez at ringside. Crews had the match under his control but ‘The King of Strong Style’ meant business tonight.

Shinsuke Nakamura and Apollo Crews put up a brilliant match together
As soon as the bell rang, both the wrestlers went at each other and exchanged a few quick back-and-forth strikes; however, Crews got the upper hand when he delivered a suplex for a quick 2 count.

Nakamura then retaliated by putting his boots on Crews and took him down from the corner. He then delivered a big knee drop for a 2 count.

Crews’ alias Azeez tried to get involved in the match and tried to distract Nakamura, who kicked him to keep him out. However, Crews took advantage of this distraction and dropkicked him, rendering him defenseless.

Halfway through the match, Boogs got on the apron and distracted Crews with a little guitar play which annoyed the referee and he sent him back to the locker room, as fans booed the referee.

However, the referee ordered Azeez to head back as well because he caught him when he was sneaking his way into the match from the other side of the ring.
Crews continued to dish out heavy attacks and attempted many quick covers but Nakamura kicked out every time and this made him frustrated.

Eventually, towards the end of the match, Nakamura gained some momentum when he stunned Crews and delivered a Michinoku Driver for another close 2 count. He then waited for the Kinshasa and hit it with perfection to win the title.
