The Undertaker is not one to be taken lightly. The three-time World Heavyweight Championship winner emanates doom and terrifies all wrestlers alike with his imposing figure. It will not shock fans to hear about the time The Deadman threatened another intimidating WWE Legend for doing something he was not supposed to.

Kevin Nash, who is no small man himself, and was billed as being a literal titan at 7 foot tall. Once part of the notorious nWo clique, Nash has won 21 championships over his career, and has even held the WWF championship for an unbeaten 358 days. Why did The Undertaker threaten Kevin Nash?

This was during the time Nash was wrestling WWE Hall of Famer Bob Backlund in a series of matches. Although Diesel had won against Backlund at Madison Square Garden, the rivalry between the two icons kept going until early 1995. At the same time, it was the Deadman who was leading the WWE Locker Room, where he was judge, jury, and executioner.

Speaking to Steve Austin, Nash said, “Backlund wanted me to sunset flip him every night. I sunset flipped him in Sacramento. I didn’t even get a foot through the curtain before ‘Taker had me against the wall. ‘If I ever see you sunset flip anyone in this building again, I’m hitting the ring.’”

The sunset flip is a running dive from behind that has proved dangerous for both the person doing the flip and the person getting flipped. There have been multiple instances of pro-wrestlers injuring themselves while attempting the sunset flip, and matches have even been stopped because of botched sunset flips.

It is fascinating for fans to see their pro-wrestling heroes looking out for each other, but it becomes even more precious when the saviour is someone like the Undertaker. Usually perceived as aloof and detached from the world of other wrestlers, moments like these show how much Mark Calaway cares about the health and well-being of his fellow wrestlers.
