Last year, Dwayne Johnson finally released his passion project and a decade’s worth of work, Black Adam. While everything was decent about the movie, Johnson promoted and marketed it to the moon. But when it came to the financial side of things, fans did not show up, which led to a poor box office performance. Even Johnson’s hard work in bringing back Henry Cavill for the role of Superman did not pay off.

So, the People’s Champ took his leave from the company when the head of creatives completely wiped the slate clean. While fans and Johnson don’t speak about it on the internet or anywhere else, the media loves to stir up drama, but Johnson did not give them what they needed. Instead, The People’s Champ showed nothing but excellent etiquette while answering a question about his DC exit.

Arriving in his ballet pink-colored suit, The Rock shined at the Oscars ceremony. On the red carpet itself, he reunited with his former co-star, Emily Blunt. That is all fun and amusing, but there was another interaction that didn’t make fans or Johnson happy, but he dealt with it with grace.

On the red carpet, Johnson was asked about the replacement of Henry Cavill as Superman. Johnson answered, “All we could do when making Black Adam was put our best foot forward. Surround ourselves with the best people, and then also deliver the best movie we could. Our audience score was in the 90s. Critics took a couple of shots. That’s just the business of it, though.

Adding to that, Johnson also gave an analogy of the changing heads at DC to a new owner changing a pro football team and coach. This also led fans to believe that The Rock was making a dig at James Gunn and Peter Safran.

But keeping that aside, fans were collectively distraught that The Rock was asked such a question on the red carpet. It just goes to show how well-equipped of an personality Johnson truly is in dealing with questions like this.
