If there’s one thing that every industry inclusive of the sports and combat-sports industry has taken up with priority, it’s mental-health. Every athlete, every wrestler, every human being should be open about their mental health. One individual who strongly agrees with this is Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock.
Dwayne Johnson spoke with Jay Glazer about Glazer’s new book Unbreakable. The book discussed the mental hardships human beings go through, the dark days.
“We have a tendency to keep all our sh*t in and not talk about it. Especially, stuff where it maybe interpreted as weakness. But as you [Jay Glazer] know and as many out there know, and if you don’t know this, you should feel this and embrace this, is when you talk about your sh*t and when you talk about going through anxiety or depression or mental challenges, that is not a weakness. That is a superpower.”
