The WWE Universe is awaiting the WWE debut of Simone Johnson, the daughter of The Rock. Surprisingly, we can say her debut is around the corner and can happen anytime, as she recently received her wrestling name.

We will know Simone Johnson as Ava Raine in WWE. She is happy with the name and shared her reaction on Twitter by posting a GIF.

The name she received from WWE disappointed some fans and critics. Many were thinking the company will keep her real name as a part of the family legacy. One of the wrestling journalist Louis Dangoor, shared his disappointment on Twitter.

His tweet said, “Not portraying Arianna Grace as Santino Marella’s daughter is one thing. Giving Simeone Johnson, the daughter of THE ROCK, a new name is completely nonsensical. Will hold judgement until she debuts, but if WWE doesn’t acknowledge her dad is The Rock that’s ridiculous.”

However, Johnson didn’t hold back on this criticism as she was a bit upset and angry at Dangoor’s tweet. She quickly replied to his tweet saying, “i probably sound like a broken record & hopefully this is the last i’ll mention this but i don’t understand why people being portrayed as separate individuals from their family name is such a heated topic. a name doesn’t discredit any prior accomplishments from any family 🤷🏽‍♀️”.

Dwayne Johnson was a major superstar back then, as was the first 3rd generational superstar in WWE. As seen in Young Rock, he too wanted to make his own legacy by being Flex Kavana, but Vince McMahon wanted him to be Rocky Maivia.

The Rock wasn’t that much popular among wrestling fans before joining WWE as Rocky Maivia. However, the fans know who Simone Johnson is and irrespective of whatever name she will get, we will know she is The Rock’s daughter.

With a new name, Ava Raine, Simone Johnson seems ready to make her WWE debut any time soon. However, some fans are not happy with the new name and wanted her to be Simone Johnson in WWE.

However, one of the fans was disappointed because she wasn’t called the pebble. It is a running gag for many years of calling The Rock’s daughter’s the pebble. Ava Raine replied to the fan’s tweet saying, “i beg of you guys to find a new joke. Anything.”

It seems she loved this joke while it was new, but now she doesn’t like it. There is no doubt that with her new name, Simone Johnson will make her own legacy in WWE. As said, whatever name she gets, people will know who she is. And now, with a different name, she will add more accolades to her family legacy.
