Sometimes it is hard to fathom the effect The Rock has had on pop culture. However, one is reminded of the fact that professional wrestling’s second-biggest brand was his brainchild. The Rock made the word “SmackDown” famous by using it regularly in his iconic promos during his prime.

Eventually, when WWE decided they wanted a second weekly event, they just knew what to name it. Additionally, back when the show was introduced, it was deemed as The Great One’s show in the storyline. In fact, The Rock competed in a match against Triple H in the first-ever episode of SmackDown back in August 1999.
