The Undertaker paid a tribute to late Paul Bearer during his segment at Survivor Series 2020.

WWE and ‘The Deadman’ used Paul Bearer’s hologram holding the urn to make him appear inside the ring. The Undertaker went down on one knee in his signature pose and paid a tribute to Paul Bearer.

Paul Bearer was The Undertaker’s manager when the latter was rising to fame in the wrestling industry. His overall persona was perfect for ‘The Phenom’s’ spokesperson.

The story of Paul Bearer developed into a twisted family affair.

As the relationship between The Undertaker and Bearer developed, secrets started coming to light. One was that Bearer had fathered a child with The Taker’s mother. This child and half-brother was Kane.

When Kane and The Undertaker were in the middle of their feud, Paul Bearer sided with his son, Kane. Bearer wasn’t consistent with Kane since his loyalty kept moving from one to another.

Coming to WrestleMania XX in 2004, Bearer took Taker’s side. Unfortunately, this was short-lived as Bearer betrayed him and aligned with Kane yet again.

Paul Bearer was an integral part of The Undertaker’s career. He will always be spoken about whenever the WWE audience remembers ‘The Deadman’.

Paul Bearer entered WWF in December 1990 after Rick Rude introduced him to Vince McMahon.

Since he was already a funeral director, Mr. McMahon used this to create a ghastly manager character who was always carrying an urn. As a result, stealing his urn became a part of storylines.

The tragic demise of Paul Bearer

The WWE manager passed away on March 5th, 2013, because of a heart attack.

Three days prior to that, he had attended a meeting where he experienced breathing difficulties. Following this, he got treated for respiratory problems and a blood clot.

He rests beside his wife at Serenity Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
