It wasn’t a joyous night for champions on SmackDown. Jey Uso disappointed Roman Reigns, The Street Profits lost to Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler, and Sami Zayn had a firm handshake with Big E after a count-out victory against Daniel Bryan.

WWE Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn requested an interview with Kayla Braxton. Kayla mentioned Sami wasn’t on her list, but he insisted.

Sami Zayn believes WWE is sabotaging him

Zayn said he asked for this interview because he knows WWE is trying to silence and suppress him as he speaks the truth. He also said that WWE is going out of its way to sabotage him.

When asked why he thinks they will sabotage him, the ‘Great Liberator’ answered, “Why do I? (laughs), tell me who in recent memory has had to jump through the hoops and obstacles being placed in front of them like me? Nobody! I am here in the middle of a historic Intercontinental Championship reign.

“And that is despite the odds, that is despite obstacle after obstacle being thrown my way, they’re trying to cut my knees out from under me. They don’t want me representing this championship, they don’t want me representing the people. They don’t want it!.” “You know what I’ve done? I’ve done something unprecedented with this championship. I am a two-time Intercontinental Champion who’s never lost. Never lost this championship!” continued Sami.

The Champion of the People also stressed on how he has beat top competition.

“It’s been 264 days since I won this championship and somehow I managed to win it again, ha! Who’s done that? Nobody. I pinned Braun Strowman for this championship. How many people have done that? Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar? Who’s done that? Handful of people. I beat Braun Strowman for this championship and then I defeated Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania for this championship, a future Hall of Famer.”

Sami Zayn also mentioned how he beat two more future Hall of Famers in AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy and concluded, “Everything they throw at me, I am able to swat away.

The way things panned out on SmackDown, Big E looks next in line for Sami Zayn’s Intercontinental Championship. It would be great to see if Big E keeps Sami down for a count of five.
