In a recent post on Instagram, WWE NXT Superstar Tommaso Ciampa expressed his thoughts on the trajectory his career is currently in. He describes how he is being under-utilized by WWE.

The post had a lot of Ciampa’s thoughts brought out into the open. Ciampa claims that he is at a career-low right now, and is demotivated to an extent.

“I miss 2018 Ciampa,” begins the NXT talent. “The wrestling business, like life, is full of waves. Highs and lows. One moment you feel untouchable, the next you come crashing down.”

“Giving up the Title is definitely one of my career lows. And to be honest, damn near everything that’s happened in my career since has been a disappointment,” admits Ciampa.

Ever since his title reign came to an end, Ciampa has lost his dominant character and is now not being incorporated into bigger storylines. He noticed this issue and addresses it.

“A few glimpses of highs here and there: my face off with Adam when I returned and War Games come to mind. But lots of lows: the chase to reclaim Goldie, the final chapter with Johnny, and most recently my encounter with Kross.”

Tommaso Ciampa has realized that he isn’t part of the writers’ plans

The NXT Superstar claims that he is motivated by negative thoughts. He uses it to channel his inner spirit and gets inspired to prove everybody wrong.

“Motivation is a fascinating trait. Throughout my career, I’ve often found that creating false dialogue has led to my greatest internal motivation,” says Ciampa. “In 2018, I created a scenario in my head in which ‘nobody believed in me.’ It drove me.”

Ciampa claims that WWE has been leaving him out of storylines under the pretext that he is injured. He is, however, in perfect shape and is starting to question the ground he stands on.

“In 2020, after weeks of being left off television (yes, I’m healthy), I find myself with a new false dialogue. ‘Creative has nothing for you’. Whether or not this is true really doesn’t matter. Because in my head, it’s true,” says Ciampa.

These setbacks, however, will not phase the beast in him. He vows to come back stronger than ever and make the most of it in the next few months.

“In 2018, I willed my vision into existence. Well, today I have a new vision. And surprisingly enough, I’m hungrier than ever. It’s time to evolve. It’s time to catch that next wave and reach that next high,” concludes Ciampa.

We can only expect the monster to return and establish his territory again. No one messes with Tommaso Ciampa and gets away with it, not even Randy Orton.
