In a backstage interview, Tommaso Ciampa revealed Finn Balor as his tag team partner for tonight’s tag team match on WWE Raw.

On his return to WWE Raw, the former two-time NXT Champion said, “Monday Night Raw might be my home now. But I will never forget where I came from, and I will certainly never forget stepping into the ring with Tommaso Ciampa.”

“We may have stood many times toe-to-toe in the past. But today, let’s start the road to WrestleMania by standing shoulder to shoulder,” he added.

This was Balor’s first match on WWE Television since his loss against Austin Theory in January 2022.

As for Tommaso Ciampa, he is currently involved in a feud with Dolph Ziggler. After Ziggler’s recent appearances on NXT 2.0, the former NXT Champion was scheduled to fight Ziggler and Roode in a tag team match. Ziggler had Roode, but Ciampa tagged with one of his former foes, Finn Balor.

But soon the scenario changed when Ciampa tagged Balor after hitting a clothesline on Ziggler. Balor then attacked Robert Roode with all his agility and speed.

However, Roode displayed his toughness as he hit Balor with a spine buster for a near fall. Balor kicked out and took it to Roode, hitting him with a Swing Blade and tagging in Ciampa.
