We often tend to think that in order to excel in something, one needs to work tirelessly without any breaks. But this is not at all true. One’s ability to make a proper balance between work life and personal life is the key to being successful in the respective field.

As far as WWE is concerned, the wrestlers’ tight schedule barely allows them to spend time out of their sport. But sometimes they too indulge in those late-night parties which The Undertaker thinks is absolutely alright as long as they don’t mix it up with their work schedule.

The Undertaker is always viewed under a mask of a dead serious persona, which his gimmick once demanded. But apart from his dreadful persona, Taker was, at the same time, very helpful towards the young wrestlers out there. Being the most serious and trustworthy person in the locker room, everyone used to look up to him for guidance. He acted like the judge and jury, and rightfully so. But no matter how impossible it sounds, just like every other wrestler, The Deadman also indulged in parties, sometimes in between his rigorous days on the road. But what makes him different from the others is that he always goes by some principles. Those actually help him to be on the right track. He also advised the same to his fellow wrestlers.

“He Would Have Told Me It Was Wrong”: The Undertaker Gave WWE Agent an Unbelievable Experience

Recently, appearing in Insight with Chris Van Vliet, the retired WWE legend noted, ‘those same guys that I was on the road with, that I was hanging out with and partying with, you know, they knew what happened there was safe, and there was never going to be any crossover. Don’t let what we’re doing at night get in the way of business. I mean, that was a, that was a really strong rule with me. I don’t care what we do, don’t be late, and work hard. That was, that was the only thing that I [told people], don’t get in trouble, don’t make us late, don’t embarrass us, don’t be late to work and work hard. And I think that was why I garnered.’

Taker has been away from the ring since his retirement in 2020. However, The Hall of Famer made his special entry as American Badass during Raw’s 30th episode in January 2023.

Undertaker’s view on WWE’s current status

Taker no doubt had a decorative career in pro wrestling and has earned millions of praise for his talent and dedication to the business. He did everything for the promotion as per his competence. Arguably the best star of the attitude era, he perfectly knows what the company needs to flourish more. From pulling his characters perfectly to engaging with the fans, The Undertaker ruled his era. But today, when WWE has gone through a huge change with time, one of the key architects of the business thinks it’s all for good.

In the latter part of the same interview, Taker continued, ‘Things had to change, obviously, whatever, things changed, when the business, when the company went public, there were a lot of changes that had to happen, changes for the better. Everything’s, you know, we’ve evolved into a whole I mean, it is a, I think, I think WWE is in a lot of [ways], a lot more now is regarded in the same way as other major sports franchises, you know.’ He also compared WWE to the NBA and NFL. He mentioned that the company is not very far away from reaching those milestone levels. It’s now a global business to which everyone pays attention.
