Injuries are unfortunately a huge part of a pro wrestler’s job. Over the years, it has turned some wrestlers’ career upside down as well. Similarly, one recent unknown injury cost a superstar her title defense at WWE Raw. 

 A pro wrestling match can turn into a fierce war with high-octane moves in the blink of an eye. Nevertheless, this leads to a high chance of severe injury occurring for the parties involved.  That being said, a recent match has reportedly resulted in a superstar’s injury. This also led to the promotion, removing her upcoming match from their schedule.

WWE Raw superstar reportedly suffers injury setback

According to Fightful Select’s report, Liv Morgan suffered an injury during her tag team title defense alongside Raquel Rodriguez against Damage CTRL. The accident happened on the previous edition of Friday Night SmackDown.

However, there’s still no concrete information about the severity of the injury or which spot led to the onset of the issue. It’s also unknown for what duration she will be out. Similarly, after winning the WWE Tag Team Championship title recently, the duos’ upcoming title match against Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville got scrapped as a result of Morgan’s injury.

WWE has not promoted the tag team title match which was supposed to happen on Monday Night Raw. However, there’s no information on what will become of the Women’s tag team titles in case the injury is worse than expected.

Being at the peak of their heel fashion, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler came to beat down one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team champions. This happened after Rodriguez won over Chelsea Green on Raw. 

It’s true that Rodriguez used Morgan to unleash hell in the Women’s showcase at WrestleMania 39, but lately, she has been beaten down in her absence. While beating her down, Rousey warned her to put the titles on the line or she would be beaten down each week. Now it’ll be interesting to see what Rodriguez will do from here on.
