“We were in the back and were going through some spots, and then we were going to do the chair shot. I didn’t like chair shots, the back was fine, but then they [WWE] were hitching the top of the head or back of the head. So I looked at Rock and said, ‘Hey man, if we do that chair shot, just hit me in the face.’ He looked at me goes, ‘I’m not hitting you in the face,’” Ken Shamrock stated.

The Rock did not want to hit Shamrock in the face, but Shamrock was serious with his words. The UFC Hall of Famer compelled Dwayne Johnson to hit, and if not, Shamrock put forward a condition to The Rock.

What was the condition that Ken Shamrock put on Dwayne Johnson?

Former Intercontinental Champion Ken Shamrock placed Dwayne Johnson in an unavoidable circumstance. Shamrock mandated The Rock to hit him in the face, or else he won’t sell the act inside the ring.

Ken Shamrock added, “I’m serious, hit me in the face, and if you don’t swing it, I won’t sell it. He [The Rock] looked at me and goes, ‘Woah, I’ll swing it.’”

“I remember looking up to him and going, ‘You better swing it.’ (laughs) I was like, you better swing it, and he looked at me and goes, ‘Oh, I will,’” Shamrock added.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson hit Ken Shamrock with a steel chair on his forehead and the UFC Hall of Famer sold the chair shot by The Rock, and the WWE Universe enjoyed watching it.

Did The Rock injure the UFC Hall of Famer?

Ken Shamrock was neither injured nor did he go through a concussion. The UFC Hall of Famer managed not to get injured because he took the chair shot on his forehead.

“So when he hit me with a chair, WHACK! I hardly even felt it; that’s no lie; God is my witness. He swung that, and he hit me with it. And I literally went, ‘Well, that was a lot better than I thought.’ As I was rolling backward and I hit the ground. I was like, ‘Thank god, I am alive!’” Ken concluded.

In the same interview, Ken Shamrock mentioned that the forehead has the thickest bone of the head. So, it was easier for Shamrock to take a chair shot by The Rock and sell it to the crowd.
