WrestleMania 38 is going to be the biggest event the WWE Universe has witnessed in the past few years. Some of the names announced for the event are Stone Cold Steve Austin, Brock Lesnar, possibly Vince McMahon, and of course, The Champions. But, could Triple H come back too?

Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez addressed the situation on Wrestling Observer Radio. According to Meltzer, ‘The Game’ will probably not come back at WrestleMania 38. He could be present at the event, but he will not be in the ring as a Superstar.

“Triple H would be a terrible idea. His heart situation is, he can’t. I don’t want to say never because that’s because that’s unfair because maybe he can do something but that would be a horrible idea for him and that’s not gonna happen this year. There’s no way.” H/t Wrestling News

Since his cardiac arrest, HHH has been in recovery and hasn’t resumed office at WWE either.

Triple H previously battled during the WWE Japan Tour in 2019

The last time The Game worked in a WWE match was during WWE’s Japan Tour, where he teamed up with Shinsuke Nakamura. They took on Robert Roode and Samoa Joe, but this match was not shown on television.

Triple H’s last WWE Televised match was against Randy Orton. He lost to The Viper at WWE Super Showdown in June 2019.

Now, The Game is still a part of the WWE roster. Even though he hasn’t actively worked as a pro-wrestler in a while, he still is under contract.

In the off chance that he decides never to return to the ring again, he will still be under contract with WWE, but as an official. It’s unlikely that he will leave WWE duties even if he retires as a pro-wrestler.

If one is to assume that he wants to quit WWE altogether, under no circumstances can he work with another pro-wrestling promotion. Regardless of what he decides, his future seems to be rather tied with WWE!
