Vince McMahon is a man who probably knows more about the wrestling industry than anyone else around still. He has worked in this business for 5 decades and turned WWF into a worldwide sensation known as WWE. His guts have led us from the olden days of territorial wrestling rules to multiple promotions for every wrestling fan.

But one thing that people have always criticized him for is his treatment of talent. Talent is the term used for wrestlers in a company. If fans are the ones who are keeping the company afloat, talent is the key to driving that boat in the first place. While a booker’s job is only to re-direct the boat in the right direction, they choose who stays and who leaves.

And we all have experienced the anger at seeing our favorite wrestler being kicked out of their dream job. In the past few years, WWE has laid off more wrestlers than they hired. The problem ran so deep that the wrestlers on the roster feared release every time there would be any new announcements.

And after getting Cody Rhodes to jump ship from AEW to WWE, Vince has never been more in power. Showing that if AEW, Impact, or any other promotion can steal their talent, they also have the same power.

Disco Inferno talks about Sasha Banks’ situation in WWE

Industry veteran Disco Inferno hopped on the Keepin’ it Real podcast and said, “Maybe they’re letting her [Sasha] negotiate with Tony Khan, and Vince is basically, they’ve made an agreement that basically, ‘hey, come back, what are they offering you?’ And maybe Vince is gonna say, ‘okay go ahead and take it’ or he’s going to say ‘okay well this is what I’m going to offer you.’”

“Vince seems like in this negotiation process that he’s the guy that holds all the cards now,” Inferno added. “Like he’s got that controlling ever since he brought Cody back… I’m just wondering if Vince thinks ‘let me see if I release one of my top girls if she’s even out of their [AEW’s] price range,” he concluded.

Alleged reports of poor creative by Vince McMahon led to the iconic Raw walkout

Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out from the Raw segment was one of the biggest news stories to come out of WWE this year. Not only were there shots thrown at the former tag champs but also at the company and the way Vince McMahon handled the situation on TV.

A week or so after the incident, there were rumors that Vince McMahon had decided to put both women in losing matches against the women’s champions of either brand. Also, Sasha was supposed to win the belt of Charlotte at WrestleMania, but Ronda Rousey’s arrival derailed that.
