During his interview with Chris Van Vliet, he talked about how Vince imagined his gimmick and how he wanted to make it perfect. “We filmed uh for a couple of days there and then um he didn’t like the way that I said Fandango into the character started in the camera. So, he cut all those vignettes they never even like aired I think maybe one of them aired. “
“Vince has been waiting up in production for me for like half an hour so apparently, he was going to produce all the vignettes and no one told me. So, I’m just working out, and then Vince is waiting for me for like an hour and they had this whole like the room set up with like a screen and all this stuff and so I ran over. “
“Vince produced the vignettes and he turned the whole thing where I didn’t say the name correctly in the original vignettes and then he turned that into an angle where I debuted on TV and no one could pronounce my name correctly,” said Fandango.”
Later, Fandango got a push in the NXT roster where he was the NXT tag team Champion alongside Tyler Breeze.
