Dwayne Johnson has transitioned as a fine action hero in Hollywood from being a top WWE superstar. He is one of the prominent figures of the most popular period of WWE, the attitude era, which helped Vince McMahon to defeat and buy WCW.

The Rock debuted as ‘Rocky Maivia’ in WWE. However, he made a mistake in his first match for which Mr. McMahon would have fired him, but he didn’t.

A few years back, Dwayne Johnson, on his YouTube channel, ‘The Rock‘, shared a reaction video of his debut. He pointed out his first-ever botch in WWE, for which they have fired him after one match.

Johnson said, “I think I’m pointing to what’s called the hard cam, and I’m literally pointing to nothing. That’s why my back was to you guys.”

He added, “And again I had this whole thing mapped out in my head that I was gonna jump over the ropes, I was gonna look at the hard cam, because we are always told you look at the hard camera, main camera, you’re speaking to the world. I jump over the top ropes and I’m like, yeah! I’m here! F**king hard camera’s behind me.”

Johnson was lucky enough that night as The Chairman of WWE was not angry with him for this mistake. McMahon might have ignored this as a rookie mistake and gave another chance to The Rock, but this is not the case always.

Vince McMahon has fired multiple superstars over minor mistakes. One of the most notable firings is Paul London for smiling during Mr. McMahon walking out of the arena during the blasting limousine segment.

Once Kurt Angle on his show said to Ronda Rousey how The Boss suspended a WWE superstar for saying ‘Welcome’ instead of ‘Thank You’. In pro -wrestling when someone says ‘Thank You’, the wrestlers have to say ‘Thank You’ back instead of ‘Welcome’.
