Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens was perhaps the most anticipated match of Royal Rumble 2021. The Superstars have been engrossed in a heated rivalry since December 2020, and Owens has valiantly fought both Reigns and his cousin, Jey Uso.

Both Superstars entered the arena with determination. After all, the WWE Universal Championship was on the line. Undoubtedly, it was a brutal match.

At one point, Owens had Roman Reigns on a table, and he took a flying leap onto the ‘Tribal Chief’, breaking the table into pieces.

Next, Kevin Owens climbed an elevated platform and jumped on Roman Reigns, landing on his back. It was painful for both the Superstars.

Roman Reigns mauled Kevin Owens

There was a point in the match when Kevin Owens attacked Reigns’ shoulders. Roman Reigns retaliated with a superman punch and pulled Kevin Owens by his head, dropping him on the tables from an elevated platform. The table broke into pieces as Owens landed on his back.

If that wasn’t enough, Reigns attacked Owens with a passenger cart. Owens went through the windshield; additionally, Reigns delivered a spear on Owens and broke a part of the arena!

The match reached a point when Roman Reigns was handcuffed to the light poles. Fortunately for Reigns, Paul Heyman arrived immediately to help him out of the cuffs.

However, the stipulation of the match was Last Man Standing. Roman Reigns managed to get back on his feet and guillotine choked Kevin Owens, taking him out in the process, and keeping his title.Surprisingly,  Jey Uso did not make an appearance till the very end.

The rivalry ended on a sour note, but it gave us some truly incredible moments. Even if Kevin Owens did not win, he put up a great fight. He executed some unexpected moves and showed the WWE Universe that he is an excellent pro-wrestler.

There is a good chance that this is where the rivalry will reach its conclusion. If it makes its way past this point, then there’s no saying what’s coming next.
