WATCH: Never Before Seen Footage of Renee Young’s Final Day at WWE

It has been a while since Renee Young left WWE. Her eight-year tenure with the company saw Young going from a backstage interviewer in NXT, to having her own show “Talking Smack.” She was also the first full-time female commentator in WWE Raw’s history.

WWE Shares Heartfelt Message For Renee Young

On Saturday, WWE posted a backstage video after Renee’s departure. The footage shows her bidding farewell to various WWE personnel. This video was shot after last week’s SummerSlam which became Renee’s last PPV in the company.

The video is dubbed – “Renee Young Says Goodbye to the WWE Universe.” The video is almost 4 minutes long. It features Renee Young saying goodbye to everyone in the Amway Center, Orlando. It also showed Young’s WWE audition tape – Samoa Joe, Michael Cole, Bayley, Booker T, to name a few.

In the end, Renee said, “WWE will always be a very instrumental part of my life.”

Host and commentator, Michael Cole said, “Renee was a trailblazer in this company. I knew the day I met her that she’s going to do big things in the company.”

In response to the video, Renee Young (now Paquette) posted an animated Harry Potter gif, waving goodbye.

As she wrote in the Players Tribune, she is “flying pretty details-free.” She is not sure what she will be doing now. However, her departure was “as simple as it gets.”

She wrote, ‘It was time. Eight years doing anything is a while. But eight years in a business like ours???? It’s a lifetime. And you only get so many lifetimes, right? So I’m going to try a few new things, give them a fair shot, hope they give me the same, and we’ll see.

For now, Renee is spending some time with her family and husband, AEW Champion Jon Moxley. Fans are hoping she would make a move to AEW.

No matter what happens, WWE and wrestling fans will keenly await Renee’s new adventure.
